THE MONDAY MASTER CLASS IS FILLED. PLEASE LOOK AT THE SUNDAY WORKSHOP, JULY 17, A GREAT ALTERNATIVE – IT HAS ONE SPOT LEFT. THANKS EVERYONE.
The Monday Master Class is a full intensive day of work with a group of 18-20 actors, all professionals who have been working as such for at least 5 years. We work as a group, and I work with everyone one-on-one in the group context. It’s a comprehensive, collective experience and that’s always incredibly valuable. While I address auditioning, the focus of the day is always on interpreting the text, making the best and boldest choices for the scene and the character, connecting with the other character(s), staying truthful, authentic, and in the moment… in your preparation and right there in the room. I work with you so that you can “own the room” and demystify the entire audition experience. In addition the work we do reminds us of the fundamentals that strengthen, deepen and lift our work to higher places.
I will send “sides” for you to prepare a few days before the workshop after you answer some basic questions that will help me get to know you a little better. Along with reviewing your headshot, resume and any reels/websites you have to share.

A FEW CHICAGO TESTIMONIALS for the MASTER CLASS:
What a delicious experience your Chicago Master Class was. You’re generous in the extreme. I’ll be carrying ideas around with me for a while cuz my pockets are full of your stuff. Thanks! – Darryl Warren, Chicago actor
What a life changing experience your Masters Class in Chicago was. Your light touch with all of us was a revelation. You have given me faith again in being a working actor! Many thanks! A friend of mine sent me this a while back. After the workshop I thought of this and you: You are a physician of truth trying to heal actors. — Frank Arringtion, Chicago actor
Thanks for the awesome class, and have the opportunity to continue deepening the work! — Cynthia von Orthal, Chicago actor
Rarely does a casting director give you homework, insight, and reflection; Risa delivers attention to your work before, during and after the workshop making the learning experience so much more than just one day of working. Her coaching is honest and her commitment and belief in the actor’s work is refreshing. I’d work with her again in a heartbeat, and hope the opportunity presents itself in the future. — Grace McPhillips, Chicago actor
I took Risa’s class this past weekend in Chicago and it was AMAZING! Whether you’re a new or seasoned actor, everyone will reap great benefits! She really stays true to what acting is about. I loved the fact that she didn’t tell me what I should do; she asks questions that force you to go deeper until you get to a place it is genuine for the character while still being true to yourself. So thank you Risa! I had an amazing time. – Tara Batesole, Chicago actor
I had the pleasure of taking a full day workshop with Risa Bramon Garcia this weekend, and it was a priceless experience for me. I learned more in one day than I have in semester acting courses. Above all, Risa taught me that acting needs to always come from the heart. We were all in the journey together to hone our skills, and she talked to us, not at us (which is, coincidentally, exactly what we need to do as actors – talking to other characters, not at them). I would highly recommend taking a class with Risa, no matter what stage you are at or what your goals are. Whether you plan on pursuing a film and television career or not, this class will truly change how you approach acting. — Amber Gibson, Chicago actor
