It was received with lots of enthusiasm. Risa wa<\/strong><strong>s there to introduce the film and discuss it with the audience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Vince (Rossif) welds-2\" src=\"http:\/\/risabg.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Vince-Rossif-welds-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>Plot &#8212;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When Vince (<a href=\"http:\/\/pro.imdb.com\/name\/nm1160472\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rossif Sutherland<\/a>) is paroled after five years in prison for a heist gone wrong, his dangerous and controlling former boss, Kranski (<a href=\"http:\/\/pro.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000661\/\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Sutherland<\/a>), forces him back into a life of crime. Working for Kranski as a car thief, Vince finds solace in welding sculptures out of metal and old car parts in Kranski\u2019s chop shop. When Vince\u2019s raw and evocative sculptures are discovered by the calculating art dealer, Belinda (<a href=\"http:\/\/pro.imdb.com\/name\/nm0005381\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rebecca Romijn<\/a>), his chance for a new life as an artist emerges, as well as romantic complications with Belinda\u2019s gallery assistant, Kristen (<a href=\"http:\/\/pro.imdb.com\/name\/nm2105255\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sarah Roemer<\/a>). Caught between the pressure from Kranski and the demands of the art world, Vince has to cleverly maneuver his way out to become his own man and his own artist.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Piece of Trivia:<\/em><\/strong> The film was originally titled\u00a0<em>The Love Child of Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono<\/em>, and as filming began in Toronto the name was abbreviated to\u00a0<em>The Love Child<\/em>. It ultimately became\u00a0<em>The Con Artist<\/em>.
